Fear the Wolves early access delayed, closed beta extended

Fear the Wolves won't hit its early access release target this week.

Vostok Games was set to release Fear the Wolves through Early Access tomorrow, July 18, but it will instead arrive sometime later this summer. Because of this, the closed beta has been extended.

The delay was a joint decision between Focus Home Interactive and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. veterans Vostok after "listening to the expectations and feedback," of closed beta players.

The Closed Beta will extend until the game is ready to hit Early Access.

"The positive community feedback encouraged us to delay the release of the Early Access to ensure the well-received core experience isn’t marred by technical issues," said the developer in a press release.

"On top of fixing these issues, this delay will also allow us to further improve other aspects of the game, thanks to the masses of data and player feedback gathered through testing.

"We anticipate that the extra development time will raise Fear The Wolves’ quality to a level at which players will be able to fully experience it’s unique atmosphere."

After the early access period ends, Fear the Wolves will officially release in 2019 on consoles and PC.
