Fortnite player destroys half the map with just one shot
A Fortnite player in Playground LTM managed to destroy half the map with a single bullet.
Redditor toby_mcc and a few of his buddies have been beavering away in Fortnite's Playground LTM to construct an elaborate set up that results in them destroying six points of interest with a single shot.
"We connected all the buildings and destroyed the bottom layer of all the buildings," he explained in the Reddit thread for his fist attempt, when he and his friends managed to destroy three POI.
Toby_mccRex says he got the idea from another player on the Fortnite Reddit, who did something similar, saying, "we took inspiration from it and then added our own twist of the different locations."
"All of the bottom layers of the buildings have been destroyed but they are all connected by one piece of wood which we shot and caused them all to collapse," he explained.
"We actually did it with pickaxes as well because every gun we used was slower than mining except the mini gun which ran out of ammo way too fast," he added.
An earlier attempt involved three POIs being destroyed, with the set up taking three people 40 minutes.
The Playground LTM got off to a rocky start but now that it's live, players are making all sorts of things with their newfound freedom, from recreating Call of Duty maps to making Mario Kart tracks.
The mode is coming to an end on July 12, when Season 5 kicks off.
