Destiny 2: Forsaken has preorder bonuses, a digital deluxe edition, and its own Year 2 annual pass.
Much like The Taken King expansion, Bungie is treating Destiny 2: Forsaken as a full game launch in its own right. That means players will not only get preorder bonuses, but the option to purchase a digital deluxe edition with an annual pass.
As reported by IGN, Forsaken will have three digital editions available from the Microsoft, PlayStation, and Battle.net storefronts. All three editions include launch day access to “Cayde’s Exotic Stash” as a preorder bonus.
This stash contains the following:
- Ace of Spades Last Hand Exotic Ornament
- Queen of Hearts Exotic Ship
- Standoff Exotic Emote
- Shades of Cayde-6 Armor Shaders
Then you have Destiny 2: Forsaken’s various editions. The standard $39.99 includes the base game, or you can snag the following purchase options:
Destiny 2: Forsaken + Annual Pass – $69.99
- Forsaken expansion
- Cayde’s Exotic Stash
- Bonus Rewards (unnamed)
- 3 Content Releases (scheduled for Winter 2018, Spring 2019, and Summer 2019)
Destiny 2: Forsaken Digital Deluxe Edition – $79.99
- All Forsaken + Annual Pass content
- Wrath Majestic Legendary Bow Ornament
- Dirge Paladin Emblem
- Vestian Ghost Shell
There is one major detail to consider: Destiny 2’s Year 2 content is only available if you already own the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions from Year 1. Forsaken launches on September 4, 2018.
