Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country charts the fall of a warrior 500 years before the core story.
There was once a time where Nintendo wasn’t sure Xenoblade Chronicles could succeed with Western audiences. Now the the critically-acclaimed sequel is enjoyed by audiences worldwide, and Nintendo is following up that success with a DLC campaign.
Revealed at Nintendo’s E3 presentation, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country is a prequel to the core game. Set 500 years before the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, its story follows a band of heroes defending their kingdom from the powerful Aegis, Malos. If you haven’t finished the main game, spoiler alert: it doesn’t quite work out for everyone involved.
On a gameplay front, Torna will feature a refined battle system that lets you fight as the artificial Blades and their masters, the Drivers. Not that fans needed an excuse to continue the story!
Torna The Golden Country launches from the Nintendo Switch eShop on September 21, 2018.
