Just Cause, Rage 2 developer Avalanche teasing a new game announcement

Avalanche Studios, the Swedish studio behind the Just Cause series and the upcoming Rage 2, is teasing a new project.

Avalanche founder Christofer Sundberg revealed in a tweet that one of the studio's new IPs will be revealed today. Sundberg noted that it's a self-published game, and only shared the picture you see below.

If we're theory-crafting, it looks like a co-op shooter of some kind. There are two players shown on screen, both being chased by a monster of some kind. This may just easily be a single-player game with an AI companion, though.

The mysterious game should be unveiled today, in about four hours from the time of this story.

Avalanche Studios has been very busy recently, working on a big portion of Rage 2, and rumoured to be developing a new Just Cause game. The studio was also recently acquired by Nordisk Film.

We'll bring you details of the new game as soon as they're announced.
