For Honor is teasing what looks like a new Eastern hero

For Honor is hinting at what could be the addition of a new warrior from the East.

Ubisoft has been slowly teasing some big For Honor news for a while now. The developer is asking asking fans to tune in to Ubisoft's E3 press conference to learn more about the future of the game.

Now, in a new trailer titled Past Present and Future, the developer has taken it a step further by actually showing a small glimpse of the game's next hero, which will no doubt be revealed at E3 as part of a new season of content.

The stinger, seen at four minutes 25 seconds into the trailer, shows what appears to be a Scimitar. Scimitars are curved blades most commonly used by Eastern and Middle eastern armies. This could indicate the upcoming hero will be of Persian or Arabic origin, but the image is sadly not clear enough to be sure.

Some have suggested it could also be a Falchion, which would make it an Eastern European fighter. Considering For Honor's Knight faction is already full of European-style designs, it would make sense for the game to expand beyond that to feature more, non-European weaponry.

Either we're looking at a fourth faction, or the new characters will simply slot under the already existing factions - though the former is the more exciting concept.

We'll just have to wait and see.
