Nioh has sold over 2 million units

Nioh, Team Ninja's Souls-like, has sold over 2 million copies worldwide.

Team Ninja officially announced Nioh has reached the impressive milestone this week, and the number likely includes both PS4 as well as PC.

Nioh is an unforgiving action-RPG released in February last year to a strong critical reception. The game was ported to PC in November in the form of the Complete Edition, which came bundled with all three pieces of story DLC.

Though the PC port had its fair share of issues, the game's unrivalled combat mechanics were still remarkable enough to put up with its shortcomings.

Without a sales breakdown by platform, we may never find out each platform's share. That said, given how the game was perceived to be a PS4 exclusive at launch and for sometime after, it's safe to assume this is where it sold the most.

Hopefully, a sequel is being worked on.
