Killer7 is coming to Steam this year
Killer7 has been announced for a PC release through Steam.
At MomoCon over the weekend, Killer7 developer Grasshopper Manufacture hosted a panel in celebration of the studio's 20th anniversary. At the panel, the developer announced that cult classic Killer7 will be released on Steam later this year.
This is not a remaster of the game, rather a re-release, so don't expect upressed visuals or assets. Grasshopper confirmed to Game Informer that the game's "simple models and colours scale nicely to modern resolutions."
NIS America will be publishing the PC version, which will also fully support mouse and keyboard, including being able to use them to aim at enemy weakpoints.
The game already has a Steam page, but it sadly doesn't mention too many technical details beyond what's been already announced. The provided screenshots certainly don't have a wide aspect ratio, which could be an indication of what players will be getting come launch.
Killer7 was released on the PS2 and GameCube in 2005. The game was co-written and directed by legendary designers/writers Goichi 'Suda51' Suda, and Shinji Mikami.
Although the re-release was only announced for PC, Grasshopper teased earlier this year that remasters for Killer 7, and Flower, Sun, and Rain are in the works for modern platforms.
Killer7 is out this fall on PC.
