Fortnite: tips and tricks for getting the Infinity Gauntlet and becoming Thanos

Have you been playing the Fortnite: Avengers Infinity War mashup mode and found yourself struggling to get the Infinity Gauntlet? VG247 is on hand to help you get it on your, well, hand.

This new mode is a solo battle royale in which the Infinity Gauntlet from The Avengers spawns in the map. It lands in a comet and, if you grab it, it allows you to transform into Thanos and sample his world-ending powers.

The thing with new Fortnite modes is that everyone wants to try them. That means you will be fighting over the Infinity Gauntlet against 99 other players, all of them wanting to give Thanos a whirl. Here are some tips to give you and edge.

How to become Thanos in Fortnite

There’s a trick to getting the gauntlets first. It tends to spawn around when the clock reaches the two minute mark, and it always lands inside the safe zone, so your best bet is to hang in the air.

Take the battle bus to the edge of the circle and then jump out before diving into the centre. All around you, other players will be doing the same.

The idea is to use the parachute in intervals, making sure you are just lower than everyone else while also trying to stay in the air for as long as possible - at least until you see the comet.

Once the comet appears, dive as fast as you can to beat the other players down. It won’t always work, but this is your best chance.

How much health does Thanos have in Fortnite?

Of course, you can always kill Thanos and take the glove from him, but that is easier said than done.

The big purple fella starts with 800 health and an extra 200 shield so you're going to have to put the work in to take him out. He's still tough, even after he was nerfed less than 24 hours into the new game mode. Good luck with that.

Once you're done with Thanos, here's how to do the Fortnite Week 2 challenges.
