It’s Wednesday, which means Nintendo has been accused of patent infringement.

Yes, companies get sued all the time by others or yelled at over patents. But Nintendo seems to get smacked with such accusations left and right.

Gamevice, the creator of detachable controllers for iPhone and Android devices, has requested the US International Trade Commission (ITC) block all imports of Nintendo Switch into the country.

According to Reuters (thanks, Nintendo Life), Gamevice filed a complaint alleging Switch importation “infringed on its patents.”

The ITC said in a statement it will launch an investigation regarding “certain portable gaming console systems with attachable handheld controllers and components thereof.” As of press time, a decision has not been announced regarding “the merits of the case.”

Nintendo said it has “nothing to announce on this topic.”

Back in August 2017, Gamevice filed a patent infringement suit against Nintendo over Switch’s detachable Joy-Con controllers. The company eventually dropped the case.
