A Way Out sold more than 1 million copies in just over two weeks

A Way Out has done extremely well for a title that's been on the market for less than one month.

A Way Out, the cooperative prison break title from the team behind Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, has sold over one million copies since release.

The Hazelight Studios-developed title was released on March 23 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One through the EA Originals label.

It tasks players with helping two inmates escape prison. While the game can only be played in co-op, players only need one copy in order to play with a partner.

Early reviews for the story-driven game were mixed, but A Way Out has a rather respectable aggregate score of 79 on both OpenCritic and Metacritic.

The sales figures for A Way Out are well-deserved, in our opinion. We enjoyed our time with it enough to add it to our list of best co-op games to play right now.

A Way Out was first teased during The Game Awards show in 2014, followed by a full announcement at E3 2017.
