You can play Fortnite right now on PC despite the servers being down - here's how

If you're itching to play Fortnite and frustrated with the servers being down, don't fret.

While Epic Games is working to get Fortnite back online proper, you can still get your fix if you play on PC.

According to PCgamesN, all you have to do if playing on PC is navigate to your Fortnite install and run the “FortniteClient-Win64-Shipping.exe” file as administrator.

Here's the standard path if you need it: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Fortnite\FortniteGame\Binaries\Win64

The site notes you may have to kill the Epic Games launcher for Fortnite a few times in the process, through Task Manager, but it will eventually let you in.

Fortnite servers have been on and offline since around 9pm last night, and while some have been able to get back into the game online, server queues are causing a massive headache.

Epic said the culprit is a "database failure," and it's working hard to solve the issue.

We'll keep you updated on the game's status.
