Fortnite: you can ride the guided missile, and someone did it to win a Victory Royale

The new Fortnite guided missile is one of the most exciting additions in patch 3.4, and it's already proven to have more utility beyond just blowing up forts.

The guided missile is an advanced version of Fortnite's standard rocket launcher. The difference being that you have total control over where the missile goes.

And just like players quickly learned that, with some finesse, you can ride the rocket launched from a regular rocket launcher, they also found out you can do the same with the guided missile.

The obvious advantage for the latter is that you can change its direction mid-flight, allowing you to flank an enemy, for instance, or avoid an obstacle that would otherwise bring the regular rocket to a stop.

And to show that it can be done, Fortnite streamers Ninja, and DrLupo teamed up to get a Victory Royale using this trick. Ninja fired the missile, DrLupo timed his jump, and Ninja proceed to steer him into an opposing duo.

Ninja got the kill on one, while DrLupo killed the other. Their opponent must have been shocked to see a dude riding a rocket around a corner like that. Here's a clip from Ninja's perspective.

And this is what it looks like when you're riding the missile.

If you're going to be spending some time playing Fortnite this long weekend, make sure you read up on this week's challenges.
