Far Cry 5 players on PC can now grab the new AMD and Nvidia drivers

AMD and Nvidia released new drivers for their Radeon and GeForce graphics cards today.

The new AMD and Nvidia drivers are both optimized for Far Cry 5.

AMD's Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.3.4 is not only Far Cry 5 ready, but it also fixes a few issues with Final Fantasy 15. That said, there are a few known issues with Far Cry 5 and Destiny 2 with the driver update.

Along with optimization for Far Cry 5, Nvidia's new GeForce Game Ready driver 391.35 WHQL [PDF] adds security updates for driver components. It also added or updated SLI and 3D Vision profiles and fixed a number of issues.

Far Cry 5 released today for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Reviews for the latest entry in the franchise have been positive, with our own Kirk McKeand calling it "the best the series has been since 2012."

If you plan on picking the game up today, or the lovely mail carrier has already delivered it, we've posted some tips to help you get started. Pages include a guide to perks in Far Cry 5, all Prestige weapons and vehicle skins and how much they cost, and how to get more weapon slots.

We'll continue to update the Far Cry 5 guide once we've had more time to play it.
