Far Cry 5: how to get the secret alternate ending
Like Far Cry 4 before it, you can complete Far Cry 5 in just 10 minutes.
Not that we suggest such a thing, especially after dropping $60 on Far Cry 5, depending upon the edition purchased.
What follows contains spoilers. If you don't want to see them, click away now.
How to get the alternate ending
All you need to do is disobey your very first order during the opening cutscene to the game.
As you walk into the church to arrest John Seed, your superior officer will tell you to put the cuffs on Seed by pressing X.
If you do nothing, and let Seed stand there for a few minutes, the local sheriff tells you all to walk away and live to fight another day. As you leave the church the end credits roll and that's it. You've sort of completed Far Cry 5.
