Monster Hunter World and Devil May Cry team up for future Event Quest

Monster Hunter World players will soon be able to fight massive beasts as Dante's doppelganger.

Capcom has announced a Devil May Cry cross-over event for Monster Hunter World.

While details are scarce at present, Capcom did say players will be able to use Dante's weapons Force Edge. a.k.a. "Woozy" and Alastor.

In Monster Hunter, this will fall into the Charge Blade category, which usually features a "hefty shield", that when combined with its matching sword, can turn into a rather large axe. With Dante's weapons, however, the shield is no longer present, but players will still be able to guard.

Also, instead of the sword turning into an axe, Force Edge will instead turn into Alastor.

Capcom said to "stay tuned" for more information regarding the content and when it will be made available. And while the announcement doesn't mention Dante's pistols or his rockin' duds, both are on display in the trailer.

This content won't be platform specific, and will be unlocked for all Monster Hunter World players when completing the corresponding Event Quest.
