Fortnite Battle Royale on mobile will also feature cross-platform play with Xbox One

Just a quick bit of news for you here.

Epic Games has announced Fortnite Battle Royale on mobile will feature cross-play, cross-progression, and cross-purchase, between Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.

That's both good and expected news, as many were worried when Xbox One wasn't included in the initial announcement.

Epic said today the Fortnite team has been working with Microsoft over the last several months "to make this possible."

Xbox One users can expect the functionality to arrive right alongside the other platforms.

As previously reported in the Fortnite Battle Royale mobile announcement, starting Monday, March 12, you can sign-up for the Fortnite Invite Event on iOS.

Android users can get in on the fun in the coming months.
