BattleCry Studios is now Bethesda Game Studios Austin

BattleCry Studios has been re-branded Bethesda Game Studios Austin.

Bethesda has announced Battlecry Studios, which was formed in 2012, has been folded into Bethesda Game Studios.

The Austin-based studio is managed by industry veteran Doug Mellencamp as Studio Director.

Founded in 2012 as a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media, the studio was originally lead by SWTOR’s former executive producer, Rich Vogel. Vogel’s previous developer credits include Ultima Online and Star Wars Galaxies among others. Vogel left the studio in 2017 for Certain Affinity.

BattleCry Studios was at one time developing Battlecry, a free-to-play multiplayer game.

The game was eventually put on hold, and being reevaluated by Bethesda in 2015. The studio moved to helping id Software develop multiplayer DLC for Doom.
