The Witcher TV series in development at Netflix continues to make progress, and we’ve now learned about some of the characters which could make it into the series.

Because both the upcoming Netflix Witcher series and The Witcher games pull from the same series of novels, we were bound to hear many familiar names, but it seems this goes deeper than just Geralt.

TV shows based on novels tend to insert new characters into the story, sometimes keeping major existing ones for later seasons. In the case of the Witcher Netflix series, showrunner and writer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich’s list of possible characters is long and should be completely familiar to anyone who played The Witcher games.

Outside of Geralt, names thrown in so far include Yennefer, Ciri, Triss, Milva, Regis, and even Roach. In a series of tweets, Hissrich laid out the defining characteristics of each of the show’s possible supporting characters.

These are surface-level details, but they do reveal a tiny bit about where the show might be going. Here are all of them so far:

Last week, Hissrich sent the pilot script to Neflix for notes.

The Witcher series does not yet have an air date, but as you can see by Hissrich’s tweet, the pilot’s first draft was only finished a few days ago, so it sounds a ways off.
