Final Fantasy 15 demo coming to PC, Steam pre-orders come with a Half-Life pack

Those planning to pre-order Final Fantasy 15 on Steam will receive a Half-Life pack as an incentive. Plus, there's a demo coming next week.

All of Final Fantasy 15's first chapter, the tutorial and opening quests will be available through a PC demo.

It will be available through Origin, Steam and the Windows 10 store on February 26.

Exclusive in-game items and bonuses have also been revealed for fans who pre-purchase or purchase Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition through the aforementioned digital stores.

Most of the pre-order content was previously announced alongside the Final Fantasy 15 benchmark tool, but extra details for the Steam version have been provided. We've also added the already announced content again to save you an extra click.

From February 22 through May 1, players who purchase or pre-purchase the game from Steam will receive the Half-Life Pack. It comes with an in-game costume for Noctis based on Gordon Freeman, the HEV Suit, Scientist Glasses and Crowbar.

The Half-Life Pack will also available for the multiplayer expansion Comrades.

Players who pre-order the game from Steam will also receive the bonus “FF15 Fashion Collection” containing a selection of T-shirts for Noctis to wear, including:

  • The strength-enhancing Episode Gladiolus Tee
  • The HP recovery rate-increasing Episode Prompto Tee
  • The critical hit rate-increasing Episode IgnisTee
  • The maximum HP-increasing Comrades Tee

On Origin, pre-ordering the game will net Final Fantasy 15 players the bonus FF15 Decal Selection. It contains a variety of decals for the Regalia based on Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis, along with the men and women of the Kingsglaive.

Details regarding the early purchase bonuses for Origin will be announced at a later time.

Finally, on the Microsoft Store, the save data from the Windows 10 version of Final Fantasy 15 is compatible with the Xbox One version of the game. This is becoming the standard for games released for Windows 10, as outlined by Microsoft many moons ago.

In addition, a post-launch update for the Windows Edition will enable Windows 10 and Xbox One cross play for the Comrades multiplayer expansion.

Pre-ordering the game from the Microsoft Store will provide players with the extra FF15 Powerup Pack. It contains the Dodanuki sword which reduces enemy defense with each slash. The pack also includes 10 phoenix downs and 10 elixirs.

Final Fantasy 15: Window Edition also contains content from the Royal Edition which will be a separate purchase for PS4 and Xbox One players when it launches alongside Final Fantasy 15: Windows Edition. It comes with extra content and everything included with the season pass.
