PlayStation Network is down - sorry Monster Hunter World players [Update]

PlayStation Network is back up.

After some downtime today, services for PlayStation Network services are back online. Original post follows.

The PlayStation Network service is down, which is probably frustrating folks, especially those playing Monster Huter World.

For an hour, at least, PlayStation users have been experiencing issues logging into PlayStation Network.

Sony said it is aware "some users are experiencing issues," and is working on getting things back up and running.

Looking over the PSN status page, it shows all services have been hit with an outage except for PlayStation Vue. This includes account management, the PlayStation Store - basically anything which requires the user to connect to PSN.

Xbox Live users don't seem to be experiencing issues, according to the status page. Xbox One users who bought Monster Hunter World will be pleased to know this because it means they will be ready to roll when quitting time hits (in the US).

Once PSN services are back up and running, we'll let you know - if it hasn't happened already by the time we hit publish. That happens to me quite often.
