Vampyr webseries kicks off today with Episode 1: Making Monsters

The first episode in a weekly four-part webseries for Dontnod's Vampyr, as been released.

Episode 1: Making Monsters is now available for viewing, and provides more more information about Dr. Jonathan Reid, the doctor-turned-vampire in Dontnod's narrative-driven RPG, Vampyr.

In this episode, Reid's condition as a vampire is highlighted. In the game, he will have to deal with various monsters such as vampire factions Ekons and Vulkods, and Skals, which are a bit of a mystery. This is alongside the Spanish Flu epidemic sweeping through the streets of 1918 London.

This setting is an "important part" of Vampyr’s identity, according to Dontnod. The backdrop provides depth to the duality tormenting Reid, as he tries to decide who to sacrifice for his own survival and who to save. Players will need to balance the need to grow stronger through feeding and their human identity.
