Originally slated for a November 2017 release, Dontnod announced Vampyr's delay in September.

In the works since 2015, Dontnod stated in the delay announcement a technical issue had pushed the development schedule back. The delay would also provide the studio with additional time for polishing and balancing.

Vampyr will be released in spring 2018  for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
