Psychonauts 2 is not coming out in 2018

Psychonauts 2 has been delayed.
Though Psychonauts 2 never had a solid release date, the game was expected this year. Psychonauts 2 finished a successful round of crowdfunding to the tune of $3.8 million almost two years ago.
Just before Christmas, developer Double Fine released a video update announcing the delay. The video also shows off some new characters from Raz's family, and gives a bit of an insight into character creation through various phases.
In the video, project lead Zak McClendon said that the team knows approximately how it's going to take to finish the game, but decided to instead announce a release date in the future when they're sure.
Psychonauts 2 is out sometime in 2019 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
