It takes over 4,500 hours of play, or $2,100 to unlock all content in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, according to player estimates

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in-game rewards may feel stingy, but wait until you hear about the time it would take to unlock everything.

According to one player's estimates, it will take you around 4,528 hours of gameplay, or $2,100, to unlock all content in Star Wars: Battlefront 2. The player in question posted a detailed breakdown of how he arrived at these calculations.

To start with, the calculations assume you already have all Star Cards in the game at level three. All other one-time rewards like challenges do not factor into this, as the player presumes that it's how you got all cards to level three to begin with. This also applies to Crafting Parts, so we'll be starting with zero.

"Cards from loot crates are assumed to be level 1 55% of the time, level 2 40% of the time, and level 3 5% of the time. Duplicate credit values are assumed to be 200 for a level 1, 400 for a level 2, and 600 for a level 3, this makes the average card level 1.5 and makes the average duplicate worth 300 credits," he explains.

"Loot crates are assumed to provide an average of 2 cards. Crafting parts are assumed to average 50. This makes the value of a crate (once you have every card in the game) worth 600 credits and 50 crafting parts. The credits are accounted for by reducing the cost of hero crates from 2,200 to 1,600."

He then breaks down the cost for each of the different classes and vehicles. For example, there are 17 cards for each of the four trooper classes, totalling at 68. To fully upgrade them, you'll need 32,640 Crafting Parts, meaning you'll need to open 653 loot crates. This will take you around 950 hours of gameplay, or 238 hours per class, to get.

The cost in Crystals is where things get even uglier. Say you're going for absolutely everything, you'll need to open 3,111 loot crates, which will cost you 248,880 Crystals. Assuming you buy Crystals in $100 packs, it will come to $2,100.

It's worth noting that these numbers have not been verified. When asked about them during an AMA yesterday, DICE representatives couldn't say one way or another. With that in mind, these calculations are similar to others players have done over the past few days, though these are more thorough. You can read it for yourself at the link.
