The latest Assassin’s Creed Origins patch is causing graphical problems for some players

The latest patch for Assassin’s Creed Origins, which was meant to improve stability and performance, is causing issues for some players.

At launch, the game received a huge patch, 1.03, that introduced a bunch of tweaks . Shortly after that came 1.04, which was meant to improve stability. But many users are now reporting that these two patches have degraded their game experience.

Following the patch, US Gamer noticed several complaints popping up on the game’s Reddit. Textures were not loading in properly, lighting was worse, and draw distances had scaled right back.


The issue is being reported over at the Assassin’s Creed forums too, with some players presenting long lists of the issues they have run into, along with screenshot examples. This seems to be a fairly widespread issue, although it is not quite clear if this is a blanket problem across all copies of the game or whether it is affecting specific players.
