Xbox One X launch shortages are possible in the UK, but more stock will be available weekly

It goes without saying that if you want a new console on launch day, it's best to pre-order. Xbox One X won't be an exception.

Xbox UK has said it expects launch shortages of Xbox One X and Microsoft said it can't guarantee stock will be available in UK stores to walk-ins.

"The Scorpio edition sold out in record time," UK boss Harvey Eagle told GI.biz. "It was the fastest pre-order of an Xbox that we've ever had.

"I can't guarantee that stock will be available in launch week for people to just walk into a store and pick up. Demand is really high."

Eagle said he encourages those in the UK who want one at launch "to get moving." Same can probably be said for other regions too, we reckon.

Project Scorpio Edition Xbox One X pre-order now

That said, it's possible many physical and online retailers are out of pre-order stock at this time. It's pretty much a given with any new console launch.

He went on to say that new stock deliveries to retail will occur each week as Christmas looms.

With the holiday shopping extravaganza set to kick off Thanksgiving weekend, there will be plenty of Xbox One consoles deals to tempt consumers. Hopefully, some of these deals will include Xbox One X if in stock. Lord. Is it almost the holidays already? It was just Easter last week.
