Middle-Earth Shadow of War Ithildin Poem Solutions: how to get the Bright Lord armour set

Take time out from some orc-smashing for some poetry. There's neat gear in it for you, mind.

Each region in the rather enjoyable Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is home to an Ithildin Door. These sealed doors are the entrance ways to crypts that contain valuable gear, all of which is part of the Bright Lord armor set. And you want those, don't you?

When worn as one, this armor set can offer you some serious buffs that'll go along well with a variety of builds for Talion - if you're trapped on choosing a build take a gander at our Shadow of War Skills Guide. The armor set includes everything you need: armor, a cloak, a sword, a dagger and of course a bow.

In order to get at these items you'll need to open the doors, and in order to do that you'll need access to the right words, Ithildin Fragments, in order to complete the poems attached to the doors. Here's how all that works:

How to solve Ithildin Poem puzzles on Ithildin Doors

First off, you'll have to collect the six poem pieces around the area. You do this by climbing towers and marking the location of the fragments on your map with the Haedir tower power. Gather up each of these by travelling around the map until you have all six pieces. Then you'll have to find the door itself - it'll be under the Barrow fast travel point in each area.

When you reach the doors, you'll be tasked with slotting each of the words you've found into a poem. Below, we've gathered all of the solutions for all five doors and poems in the game - and completing them all will get you that sweet Bright Lord armor set.

  • This poem's solution offers you up a number of words: Doom, Land, Drums, Wrath, Shadows and Cadence.
  • Here's the order they go in:

In the land of Mordor where the Shadows lie
We bear our banners aloft, boots like Drums
Our Cadence quick, our countenance dire.
For who in this dark, dream-haunted Land dares
Resist the righteous flame of Wrath
And Doom themselves to despair and death?

For this, you'll get the powerful Bright Lord's Armor gear.

Cirith Ungol Ithildin Door Poem Solution

  • This is the correct order for them in the poem...

When the sun Rises, the shadows must retreat
Fleeing in fear from the Fires of dawn
The Night never knew that its end was fleet
As a Bright Lord bears Beacons of flame.
The sun rises, yes -- but from the West it Shines
Marching e'er Eastward, e''er eternal, e'er bright.

This will get you the Bright Lord's Cloak, the perfect companion to the armor.

Gorgoroth Ithildin Door Poem Solution

  • This is the correct order:

They stalk and Lurk, then lash out so furious
Yet our Bulwark is proof against their rage
Our hard-ringed, hand-forged armor Impervious
To predations from the Powers of darkness
No matter how Vicious or how vile
To assail the Bright Lord is to falter and Fail.

Completing this opens up a crypt where you can grab the Bright Lord's Sword.

Let them summon scabrous Serpents, feral beasts
It will Avail them nought. Across the ages none

Claim dominion over a Mordor soon bright.

A vipers' Nest of sorrow and strife
Poisoned by pernicious betrayal and blight

Burning only what is Base, that all else may thrive.

This gets you the Bright Lord's Dagger weapon.
