Watch new gameplay from Hunt: Showdown, Crytek's PUBG-meets-Monster Hunter shooter

Hunt: Showdown, Crytek's very promising shooter that blends elements from PUBG and Monster Hunter, has a new trailer.

The video is walkthrough of a typical round in Hunt: Showdown. Compared to earlier footage, you'll immediately notice the different time of day.

It's not clear if this is a different map entirely, but the daytime at least lets you appreciate how good it looks. The game features two components, one that tasks players with tracking and killing a monster, and another Battlegrounds-like where you also have real players and their motivations to worry about.

In the demo, via IGN, we get to see both components intersecting when one group decides to wait for the other to do all the work killing the boss before they attack them. There's a feeling of uncertainty that surrounds every move.

Although Showdown's visuals are great, the game appears to be in a very early state. You'll notice AI problems and a bizarre stutter when turning the camera. Despite all of this, though, the game looks very interesting.
