If you're trying to resist Star Wars Battlefront 2 maybe do not look at how cool Darth Vader is

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is probably best avoided by having yourself put into a medical coma.

A new Star Wars Battlefront 2 character profile has detailed Darth Vader's abilities and traits, while giving us a look at the fearsome caped villain in action.

He looks absolutely rad as heck, which is proving a serious temptation. It's another point to balance against questions about the loot box economy that have arisen during Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta (which has been extended to Wednesday).

According to the PlayStation Blog, Darth Vader's special attributes in Star Wars Battlefront 2 include the ability to "periodically increase both his durability and his damage output", making him "nearly unstoppable".

He can also throw his lightsaber for a powerful ranged attack, and use the iconic Force choke move to lift foes and drop them wherever he likes, including over cliffs. Take a look in the short Star Wars Battlefront 2 Darth Vader video below:

Star Wars Battlefront 2 releases in November for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Jump into the beta test and have a go if you're on the fence - or just lock the doors, draw the blinds, cut up your credit card and put a pillow over your head so you can't hear the theme music. That's my strategy for surviving the next few months with my budget intact.
