NBA 2K18 is reviewing well, but a huge bug on the Xbox One version was causing some serious woes for some players.

As reported by Engadget, there have been reports from Xbox One NBA2K enthusiasts about a bug in the XBox One version that was wiping out progress.

The game, which is officially out today but which was made available earlier to customers willing to preorder it, has had issues on Xbox One, as noted on the feedback thread in the game's subreddit.

The game's Twitter account sent out a tweet earlier today saying that a patch had been issued, and that more info would be released later. The absence of any patch notes suggests that this may have been actioned and pushed as soon as possible.

Thankfully, this patch has apparently fixed the issue, so most of the game's players will not be affected (assuming they download the patch).

NBA 2K18 is out now on PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and XBox 360. A Switch version is now available digitally, and will have a physical release next month.
