Destiny 2 beta gets first update, and you should install it now to be able to play later

Even before the Destiny 2 beta has gone live, it already has its first update.

Bungie said earlier that the patch is now available, and confirmed that it's required in order for the beta to start on your console.

Unfortunately, the studio did not say what problems this update was designed to tackle, but there's already a list of known issues that some players may run into in the beta. Bungie is tracking the problems, and the majority of them are par for the course when it comes to beta tests.

The Destiny 2 beta kicks off today for pre-order players on PS4, and tomorrow on Xbox One. It goes open on Friday, but you'll still need PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold for the strike and Crucible.

Already have it pre-loaded? Why not pass the time by looking at which class to start with. There are a few differences from what you're used to in the first game, so you may end up going with a different choice this time around.
