Nintendo's new fighter Arms is out today and everyone should be rejoicing.

Alex described the game as "a winner" in his review and other outlets seemed equally impressed.

You can download it from the Nintendo eShop or pick it up at retail.

If you missed the news yesterday, a new DLC character will be available for free next month and a post-launch update will see spectator mode being introduced which will be a boon for the game if it takes off in the e-sports scene.

If you're on the way to pick it up or are twiddling your thumbs while you wait for it to download, check out these six handy tips to help you dominate opponents. Or at least take less of a beating.

As well as Arms, two other new games also hit the Nintendo e-shop this week. There's 2D action game Mighty Gunvolt Burst, and platform adventure Cave Story+.
