Horizon: Zero Dawn - The Frozen Wilds sends Aloy into the snow

There's DLC incoming for Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is getting an expansion, Sony announced during its E3 2017 presser today.

Remember how there were four major tribes in Horizon: Zero Dawn, and we spent heaps of time getting to know and exploring the homelands of three of them? It looks like we'll be heading off to visit the fourth tribe, given all the snow and ice on show in the trailer and the outfits on the NPCs. Hello, Banuk.

It didn't look like any new robo-dinos are on the cards, although perhaps Guerrilla is keeping them secret. Glimpses of a Tall-neck and what looked like an infected robo-dino suggests the familiar open-world activities will return.

It seems like Aloy is on the hunt for a ruin of some kind, given that she says she's looking for answers in a mountain. The mountain looks like it might be volcano, and references to a beast guarding it and some growling noises make us hopeful there's a nice big boss fight up there, and not just some geothermal grumbling.

Called The Frozen Wilds, the first Horizon Zero Dawn expansion will release this year. Fingers crossed it ties up some of the loose threads from Horizon: Zero dawn's hanging ending.
