Visceral's Star Wars game won't be shown at E3 2017 because "it's Battlefront 2's year"

If you watched the EA Play livestream from E3 2017, you no doubt noticed something was missing: the upcoming Star Wars title from Visceral Games.

Obviously we didn't think EA would go full banana with it, but even a tease for the 2018 game would have been nice.

According to Visceral's Amy Hennig (thanks, ffronw), the reason we didn't see a thing from the upcoming title, was due to today, and this year in general, being the year of Star Wars: Battlefront 2.

Co-writer Todd Stashwick reiterated Hennig's comment, before also posting a link to a video showing a quick 15 seconds of the game from 2016.

Visceral's Star Wars title has been in the works for a while now. With Uncharted creator Amy Hennig penning it alongside the story team at Lucasfilm, and Uncharted’s Todd Stashwick co-penning, the game should have an interesting storyline.

And don't forget: Respawn Entertainment are also working on a Star Wars title, so we have that to look forward to as well.

Until then, keep yourself occupied with Star Wars: Battlefront 2's story campaign, multiplayer, free DLC and probably a bunch more.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is out on November 17 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
