Project Rap Rabbit concept gameplay video should be all you need to back the Kickstarter

The lineage of Project Rap Rabbit is clear to see in our first look at gameplay.

Project Rap Rabbit creators have released the first gameplay footage of the rhythm action spiritual successor to PaRappa the Rapper. The video is more of a proof of concept, with many elements acting as placeholders.

What's hard to miss, though, is the style and flow that fans of PaRappa, and Gitaroo Man will be familiar with. In the video, we get to see the new mechanic talked about at the launch of the Kickstarter, which allows you to choose from a selection of phrases as well as which words to emphasise.

The Kickstarter campaign hasn't been doing so hot, with ten days left to go and not even halfway through its £855,000 goal. Maybe a last minute push will do the trick, or perhaps it's the gameplay video that'll get people to pledge.
