Be the Witcher with the tweaked first-person mod.
Well it’s been updated to support combat now, so have fun with that.
SkacikPL released the mod sans combat last year, but said, “people wanted combat – people received combat.
“Besides, when combat was not available tons of people were asking me to make it available and now once that is available with the disclaimers that yes – it is bad, people are whining it is terrible.
In the description on their most recent video, SkacikPL reiterates that a lot of the features can be toggled and adjusted – like head bobbing and FOV – and points out that they’re one person with limited resources.
So if you’re about to have a moan, try not doing that instead. Or use the ‘do-not-distrub’ mode that toggles combat on and off in first-person, so you can explore the world through the eyes of Geralt without getting ambushed and dragged into a kerfuffle.
If you’re interested in giving it a whirl, you can download it here, but as always, do so at your own risk.
Conversations with NPCs are also working in first-person now and if you want to cut down on faffing about with commands, you can buy the Mysterious Monocle item from the book vendor in the main square in Novigrad. Pop it in quick slot and you can circumvent the need for commands to switch between third and first-person modes.
Downloads for the mod peaked at the end of July last year when it first began doing the rounds, but it might see a resurgence now that the fixes have been implemented.
