Dark Souls publisher Namco is teasing a new game with 'Prepare to Dine' tagline

Whatever this new Bandai Namco project is, these visuals look really good.

Bandai Namco, the company mostly known for publishing From Software's Dark Souls series, is teasing an equally dark new game. The trailer, seen above, shows very striking imagery presented without context.

The colours black and red being very prominent here, giving this a fantasy noir look.

The teaser features the tagline 'Prepare to Dine'. I am not sure if this is a riff on the tagline of the PC version of the original Dark Souls, Prepare to Die, or if it's just a coincidence.

That said, Namco has been getting behind smaller indie games lately, such as the upcoming Little Nightmares, so this could very well be something from and independent developer.

The press release said the animation is "inspired by" a title in development at Namco, so it might not actually be game footage. It's also interesting it didn't refer to Namco as a publisher in this instance, though it may not have meant it literally.

In any case, we're going to find out on Thursday, April 20 when the game gets officially announced.
