Grace this great PaRappa the Rapper Remastered promo with your eyeballs, as they have been good and deserve a treat

PaRappa the Rapper is back, and so is Sony's fine tradition of excellent promos.

PaRappa the Rapper Remastered dropped this week, and even if you have no interest in revisiting the first big rhythm action game, you should really watch the promo above.

Presented in music documentary style, it's a pleasant reminder that Sony, alone of all the platform holders, really likes to laugh at itself. Also that its marketing budget is enormous and whoever is in charge of signing the cheques is as whimsical as a hummingbird. Please never change, Sony.

PaRappa the Rapper Remastered is out now on PS4 via the PSN, assuming you've had your local network update, and is a really lovely visual update to the cult classic PSOne hit.

If you have never played PaRappa the Rapper, simply say "kick, punch, it's all in the mind" and nod while smiling whenever anyone mentions it. If pressed say your parents threw out your copy and your memories are hazy on account of all the sex you were having at the time. Or the many sports teams you were on, if you were too young for sex. Then quickly scurry home and play the remaster. Gamer cred restored.
