Mass Effect: Andromeda will have a day one patch, but BioWare not sure if it's going to make the EA Access launch

BioWare is still working on Mass Effect: Andromeda, so expect a day one patch to be available when you get the game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda developer BioWare only recently announced the game has gone gold, but work continues to make the launch version the best it can be.

Ian S. Frazier, Andromeda's lead designer, confirmed on Twitter that "a good portion of the team is still working on the day one patch." What's more, the studio is pushing for the update to be available at the early access launch via EA and Origin Access.

EA and Origin Access members will be able to play starting March 16, which is a good few days away from launch.

That said, BioWare is not 100% sure the day one patch will be available at the EA Access launch. Game producer Michael Gamble intervened to add that though the plan is to have the patch ready by the EA Access launch, he is not able to confirm it just yet.

Details of the day one patch are not currently known, this is, after all, the first time we're hearing of it. We're likely going to learn more as we approach the game's release date.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is out March March 21 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
