Along with the announcement on Twitter, the developers also posted 15 second teaser for the French army, coming to Battlefield 1 with the release.

At first, the teaser doesn't seem to show much more than a massive tank along with a man in a mask brandishing a club. As a fire rages behind him, you also see a French flag billowing.

But, there's more to it than that, as our resident Battlefield expert explains in the video above.

According to Westie, the French Army soldier shown is the new Elite Class in the game, and that massive tank is a new vehicle.

It's speculated to be the Char 2C French super-heavy tank, the largest operational tank ever made. This is of course, not confirmed at present.

Information on three of the maps was provided by DICE previously: one will focus on the Devil’s Anvil battle; the garrison of Fort Vaux will be the focus of another map; and another will be the Battle of Soissons.

The French confirmed for multiplayer back in June along with the Russian army, the latter of which will be released in an other pack.

They Shall Not Pass is slated for a March release, and those with a Battlefield 1 Premium Pass will get two weeks early access. Hopefully, an exact release date will be provided soon.
