World of Warcraft pokes fun at Overwatch with familiar-sounding Ogrewatch Brawler's Guild bosses

Overwatch characters are coming to World of Warcraft - sort of.

Overwatch is very definitely a big deal, and assuming Blizzard doesn't shock us by dropping the ball its sci-fi universe will stand alongside other classic settings like Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo. Overwatch characters turning up in Heroes of the Storm is proof enough that Blizzard considers it part of the family.

Outside of Heroes of the Storm's world-crossing stylings, it's harder for Blizzard teams to find a way to acknowledge their successful stablemate Overwatch - but it looks like the World of Warcraft: Legion crew have it sorted.

Over on the World of Warcraft PTR, WoWhead has turned up three parodies of Overwatch characters - Hudson, Dupress and Stuffshrew - in the upcoming Brawler's Guild, and by data mining, found what seem to be four more coming at a later date.

"Hudson, a tribute to the gorilla Winston, puts up Barrier Projector and fires Tesla Cannon and Jump Pack," according to the site's report.

"Dupree, a tribute to the cowboy McCree, casts High Noon. Stuffshrew, a tribute to Junkrat, casts Maniacal Laugh."

You can see the three Overwatch tributes at the end of the World of Warcraft PTR video embedded above, and look out for the other "Ogrewatch" bosses soon: Blinker (Tracer), Boargut (Roadhog), Render (Reaper) and Steingardt (Rhinehardt).
