Dragon Quest 11 was on show at Jump Festa this weekend.

Dragon Quest 11 has been confirmed for Nintendo Switch (again).

That's according to Siliconera, pulling details from Nintendo of Japan's website.

Square Enix itself hasn't said anything about the Switch, saying only that Dragon Quest 11 is coming to "three platforms". This sudden quiet isn't especially surprising since the publisher slipped up and had to backtrack a bit on "NX" release plans way back in July 2015, so is probably a bit embarrassed by the whole thing.

Anyway, outside of Switch news, there's some new footage to admire. The first half of the video above shows off the PS4 build of Dragon Quest 11, while later on there's some 3DS stuff - in case you're wondering why everything changes part way through. You can also check out the opening cinematic below.

Apparently Dragon Quest 11 is set in the world of Rotozetasia, and stars a 16 year old villager. In the trailer you'll get a look at Camus, the blue-haired thief with a kind heart who is one of the protag's allies.

Dragon Quest 11 launches in 2017 in Japan, but has not been dated for the west. Dragon Quest 10 hasn't made it over yet either, but as that was an MMO we may have better luck with this one.
