Some Uplay members are reporting issues downloading this month's free game off the service. As a matter of fact, Ubisoft states there are authentication issues currently affecting login on all websites, games, and services.

The tech team is on the case, so hopefully, things will straighten out soon.

Your experience my vary, of course, but if you are indeed one of those having a problem downloading the game, or trying to get online for any other reason, give it another go later on.

If you are one of those itching to download Assassin's Creed 3, you hve until January 4, so there's no rush.

The game is free as part of Ubisoft’s 30th Anniversary celebration, and in order to obtain a copy of Assassin’s Creed 3, just log into your Ubisoft Club account on PC and hit the download button.
