Star Wars: Battlefront arrives in the EA Access Vault next week

Star Wars: Battlefront makes good on a promise.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be added to EA Access's Vault on December 13, the publisher has announced.

We've known this was happening since October but I think this is the first time EA's put a date on it.

Although it's tempting to use the word "free" in contexts like this, the Vault is a benefit of EA Access, a PC and Xbox One subscriber service which costs $5 per month or $30 per year. As well as early access, exclusive demos, betas and trials, EA Access members can dip into the ever-growing Vault at will, playing any of the 38 games available there. 39, now, I guess.

If you're weighing up the benefits of joining EA Access versus buying new games up front, the wait times really vary. Star Wars: Battlefront was a big hit for EA, and it took over a year for it to be added to the Vault. The more modestly-performing Mirror's Edge Catalyst released in June and made it to the Vault by November.
