The King of Fighters 14 is getting a big graphical upgrade in January

The King of Fighters 14 will receive a big patch next year that'll change its look to the better.

The King of Fighters 14 came out towards the end of August, and was relatively well-received. However, one of the few sticking points fans had with it has been the graphical presentation.

14 is the first game in series to go for full 3D character renders, a big change for the series. This meant that for some characters, their designs were either very busy, or didn't quite have the look expected from a PS4 game.

Thankfully, SNK is listening, and during the PlayStation Experience event over the weekend, the developer announced a big change in the game's graphical style. This change will be part of patch 1.10, due for release in January for free.

Generally speaking, characters pop out more, thanks to better colouring and shading. You can see for yourself in the two new screenshots or the trailer above.

1.10 does not have a set release date beyond January.
