If you're excited about old-time pirates and ship-to-ship combat, then all these Sea of Thieves promos must look absolutely incredible. Now Rare and Microsoft are offering an Insider Programme which provides the latest details directly to fans, while giving developers the chance to conduct surveys on what features are most welcome.

Sure, it's still a fairly typical marketing push - but on the other hand, the Insider Programme will also be used to select players for early access testing phases. So it probably shouldn't be ignored either.

Members will also be awarded with perks and bonuses, such as badges for the official Sea of Thieves forum and access to private Insider categories. If that all intrigues you, you can register for the Insider Programme here. The finished Sea of Thieves game will launch for PC and Xbox One in 2017.
