There are two sets of screenshots in the galleries below. One shows standard in-game shots, and the other provides a look at the game’s use of Nvidia’s Ansel 360° screencap technology.

Funcom also revealed it made significant changes to the game over the last few months since it released the first look at Alpha gameplay. The team has improved graphical fidelity, art direction, and added points of interest to the environment.

In addition to updating the game’s look, more creatures, tools, items, and lore have been added. Furnaces, tanning benches and other crafting machines have been implemented to expand the crafting feature and significant changes to were made to combat to make it feel more “responsive and impactful.”

Funcom also motion captured and reworked some of the character animation as it didn’t feel things were “up to snuff in its original state.” The thrall system was also recently implemented and is working as intended.

The studio has also localized Conan Exiles to support 11 languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

The open-world, multiplayer survival title also makes use of Nvidia’s Ansel technology which allowed Funcom to add a “free-floating, in-game camera” for the perfect screenshots. It also add filters and various effects, and the shots can be viewed in VR.

Shots of the game using Ansel tech are below, but note they needed to be re-sized as the screens were 18MB in size or over.

Conan Exiles is still on track for its January 2017 Early Access release, and the developers said they still have a “few tricks left up our sleeves.” More of the game will be shown in next two months leading up to its release through Steam Early Access.

Funcom announced the game back in January and promised it would be true to the books in the sense that it’s a violent world.

A firm release date outside of the Early Access windows hasn’t been provided.
