New 3DS is a nice little portable, and now it has a nice little price.

Nintendo is offering the black or white Mushroom Kingdom print New 3DS for just $100 on November 25 (AKA Black Friday).
This isn’t one of those retailer-specific deals you need to stampede over your neighbours for, either – it’s Nintendo’s suggested pricing. You may even see lower prices if individual retailers decide to up the ante. That said, Nintendo did say stock is limited.
To put it in context, a 2DS goes for $80, and it lacks stereoscopic 3D and the extra power the New 3DS has over the base 3DS family – for just $20 more you can have a much tidier package. It’s also literally half the cost of the $200 New 3DS XL, which is the larger sized version, despite having all the exact same innards.
Whether you’ve been wanting to trade up from a base 3DS model or in the market for your first 3DS ahead of the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon this month, it’s really tempting.
I sure wish the big US retailers shipped electronics to Australia. And that Nintendo didn’t region lock the 3DS. Ah, well.
