The new Mass Effect Andromeda trailer has dropped. Happy N7 Day!

EA has been teasing us all day on Twitter in the lead up to the Mass Effect Andromeda N7 Day reveal, and now the trailer is finally here.

I've been a bit nervous about leaving Commander Shepard behind, but this trailer looks bloody brilliant.

As well as drooling over this, the Andromeda Initiative recruitment page has also been updated.

The top right of the image shows a user's login details with the year 2184, which is the year before the events in Mass Effect 2.

If you click on the briefing button, you'll be taken to this page where the mission's objective of deep space exploration is laid out for you.

Three Ark ships - each containing three different species in cryo stasis - will leave the Milkyway Galaxy together. The plan is to wake up 600 years later. The Andromeda's launch is scheduled for 2185, which is the year Commander Shepherd returns from the dead.

I think it's safe to say, things don't go quite according to plan.

It's worth poking around and signing up if you want some extra background info on the game.

Mass Effect Andromeda will launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Spring 2017.
